Busy week

Last week was very busy.

Tuesday – we took the Yearlings to Futurity.  They were very well behaved and even enjoyed their strange hairdos.
Having panicked about how they would run up and stand etc, they didn’t disappoint me.
Chaos received a 1st Diploma with a vet score of 9 and Fiasco got a 2nd diploma and a vet score of 8, both girls could have shown off better they felt, but for a 1st party I think they coped brilliantly.

Weds was Badgworth jumping with Neo, he was amazing as always and won the 3ft by a couple of seconds.

Thursday visited the local sales ……. and came home with an empty lorry.  Which surprised everyone, most of all Adrian.

Saturday we collected Beauty, an 11.2hh Welsh Sec A.  She is now on loan to Daisy, aged 5 (my liveries little girl), who adores her and has spent the last 3 days making her gleam.

Sunday was a Stretch Day, and I think Julie, Jill, Sarah and Suzanne had great fun seeing how bendy they could make the horses.  Bloss, Julie’s horse was a star and proved she was much bendier than Julie ever thought.  Looking forward to our road trip in August taking in East and West Sussex, if you’d like to do a stretch day in these areas, please look at my web page for more details.  http://www.rosefarmequine.co.uk/stretch_training.html

I also have a lovely horse, CG, in for Laser treatment to his stifle after a nasty ditch encounter.  He is showing great improvement and today was allowed in the school for a hoolie.  Tomorrow he will be allowed in the field.

And today also saw the collapse of some of the old sheds in readyness for new ones.  This has been a great excuse for alot of flouncing and tail shaking today.

The rest of the week has been interspersed by various human and equine treatments.

The 1st post

Today is about paperwork and websites, so I have spent some time re-vamping the Training pages.

New Stretch Day dates are 26th July and 6th Sept 09.  These will be held at Rose Farm – a great day of fun information and practical exercises to supple your horse up this summer.  Proven to enhance performance and speed, whilst preventing over straining, damage and trauma.

I have also clarified the dates 18th – 20th Sept 2009 for the Laser course and also the cost £125.00 per day, inc refreshments (not Lunch).

This will include;
1 day Leg Dissection - including relevant information, DVD and power point
1 day Laser – Technical knowledge and Practical use
1 day Basic Horse Anatomy – so you know what tissues and systems you are working over.
